If you haven’t jumped on the mobile bandwagon yet, don’t fret. It’s not too late for you to join the party.
But do be picky when you hop on board!! There are sooooo many companies out there offering mobile services, and they are NOT all created the same.
Some services will “mobilize” your existing site for you, which means they just put all your current content into a narrower screen. This is the quick way to go mobile, but not the smart way. Think about it, mobile surfers are looking for something specific. A lot of the text and information on your full site may not be relevant for people on the go. Why get your viewers lost and confused in pages of stuff they don’t need?
Other mobile providers will let you DIY your mobile site from pre-designed templates. You can include only the pages and info you need, but most sites end up looking pretty similar. You’re not going to stand out much with one of these.
Then there are professional companies who will completely design your custom mobile site will custom features and functionality. This is your best bet for getting a strategically designed, beautiful and functional mobile website that will engage your customers and have them coming back. This will also be your most expensive option.
Now not every company is going to need an elaborate and super “jazzy” mobile site – (as one of our best clients would describe it!). But no matter which source you decide to go to, you must keep in mind The 4 Most Important Parts of Every Mobile Site. These babies are like commandments in building your mobile site and strategy.
