The Latest Nike Kicks: Premium Print Pack

From flying cars and living on Mars, many predictions about the future have been way off.  People have been questioning the future of print for several years now.  While there are statistics showing online usage increasing in the last ten years, print has yet to crumble as many suggested.  In fact, Nike may have found a new trend for the future of print, at least for the time being.

A new design by the Nike team takes pieces from shredded magazines to create a limited edition shoe called Premium Print Pack.  As of now there are three different styles, The Nike Flash Macro Premium with sail and birch colors, Nike Blazer Mid Premium with sail and khaki colors, and the Nike Air Rift Premium colored sail and sport red.

Unfortunately for most of us, the chances of sporting these shoes will be slim and none.  I did mention they are limited edition…right?  Nike will release the shoes in “select emerging markets” in addition to Europe and Asia on New Year’s Day 2011.  From the sounds of it on the Nike Blog, the select emerging markets are not in the US.

Sorry fellas, these shoes may look cool but they are classified as Women’s sportswear.  You won’t have to worry about durability either; the magazine patterns are treated to allow maximum visibility and weather resistance.  Check out all of the photos at the Nike Blog.
